Our union is created by our individual members. We are all volunteers with a common purpose through the years and we are made stronger because we believe in the power of teamwork.

Our significant and essential contribution to the realization of Merimna’s goals is based exclusively on all of our volunteers who embrace our efforts.

The easiest way for you to contribute, to the relief of the pain or suffering of children who use Merimna’s services, is through the work of the Friends of Merimna. All members and volunteers participate however they can. Such as:

– By suggesting or taking the initiative to organize a new event that Friends of Merimna can then include in their scheduled events.
– With a donation of new items that can be used as gifts for the lotteries or gently used clothing or items for use in the bazaars.

– By participating in the preparation of events
– By actively participating mainly on the dates of the events
– By contributing with your professional experience and knowhow

My participation in the work of “Friends of Merimna” for the last 20 years gives me the joy and satisfaction of giving back. The result of our efforts, I know for sure, helps children and parents during some of the most difficult moments that a person can experience, such as loss. Volunteerism etymologically comes from the verb “ethelo”, which means to want something very much. And all of us as volunteers very much want to contribute, by whatever means, to a higher vision, guided by solidarity and selflessness.
